Biography
Dr. Ting Yang is currently an associate professor of finance at the Faculty of Finance, City University of Macau. He received a Ph.D. degree (in finance) from the Nanyang Technological University. Before joining the City University of Macau, he worked at the Department of Finance of the Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand for more than 18 years. Prior to pursuing an academic career, he worked in industry for about 4 years.
Dr. Yang has taught finance courses for bachelors, and research and professional masters programs. He won the Excellence in Student Centered Learning Award from Faculty of Business, Auckland University of Technology in 2009.
Dr. Yang’s current research interests are in the areas of corporate finance, market microstructure, and investments. His research work has been presented at international conferences and published in refereed finance journals including Journal of Banking and Finance, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, Accounting and Finance, and International Review of Financial Analysis.
Dr. Yang has been serving the academic community by acting as an ad-hoc referee for about 20 academic journals, an external examiner for around 6 Ph.D. theses, and a reviewer, discussant, or presenter for many finance conferences.
