During the sharing session, Professor Wu first introduced the concept of teamwork. A team is a group of individuals who collaborate to achieve a certain goal. Teams can create a collective spirit, improve decision-making speed, promote workforce diversity, and enhance performance. Professor Wu mentioned that teams and groups differ slightly in terms of goals, coordination, responsibility, and skills. Work teams focus on collective performance, have an active performance, and complement each other, while work groups share information and are more individualized.

Next, Professor Wu shared the professional composition of investment banking personnel, including accounting, law, finance, financial management, mathematics, and asset valuation. He continued to discuss that leadership is a process of influence, and leadership is related to influence. It is the ability to influence others. The construction of leadership involves leadership matching, technical mastery, and diagnostic skills. Abilities and willingness influence each other, and each factor acts on the other, with their interactions varying from person to person. Leadership behavior can be mainly divided into directive behavior and supportive behavior. Directive behavior includes planning, organizing, teaching, and supervising, while supportive behavior includes encouraging, listening, questioning, and explaining.

Professor Wu shared several situational cases and engaged in in-depth discussions with the students on the diagnostic skills in leadership. The students actively participated in the discussions and expressed their opinions. This lecture provided the students with a deeper understanding of investment banking team management. The School of Finance expresses its gratitude to Professor Wu for his excellent sharing, which greatly benefited the students.
