Program Objectives
1. Master professional knowledge in financial technology and have adequate professional skills in financial technology

Graduates are well-prepared to pursue careers across diverse sectors, including banking, insurance, securities, accounting, government agencies, multinational organizations, universities, and other educational institutions. They typically assume roles in areas such as asset management, investment consulting, corporate finance, market analysis, and financial education.
Historical graduate data indicates that a majority embark on careers directly aligned with their field of study in the financial industry, securing positions in state-owned or large leading enterprises. Notable employers include China Construction Bank, Bank of China, Bank of Communications, Ping An Insurance Group, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), China Everbright Bank, and Guotou Securities Co., Ltd.

1. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualifications. Priority will be given to applicants with a background in finance, accounting, applied economics, or other related fields.
2. Students in the Master of Financial Technology program must attend a minimum of 10 academic events (including lectures, workshops, or conferences) organized by the Faculty of Finance of the City University of Macau before the end of the first semester of their second year of study. Only in-person participation counts towards fulfilling the "Academic Special Project" course requirement.
3. During their enrollment in the Master of Financial Technology program, students must publish at least one academic paper in a recognized journal or present at an academic conference, OR win a design-related award (domestic or international). The specific list of eligible journals and design competitions will be announced by the Faculty's Academic Committee. Prospective applicants and current students may contact the Faculty office for detailed arrangements regarding this requirement.
1. Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification. Candidates with undergraduate degrees in related fields such as Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or Statistics will be given priority consideration.
2. All applicants are required to take an entrance examination administered by the City University of Macau. Admission offers will be extended to the top-performing candidates based on the results.
