Program Evaluation Meeting on “Professional Certificate in Financial Consulting (Executive Program)” of the Faculty of Finance
The Faculty of Finance at the City University of Macau, the Macau Institute of Financial Services and the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants (IARFC) Hong Kong and Macau Centre held a program evaluation meeting on 8 January 2021 on the “Professional Certificate in Financial Consulting (Executive Program)”. The three parties provided internal training for a long established insurance company in Macao in October 2020. Chairman Simon Vong and General Secretary Evelyn Kun of the Executive Board of the Macau Institute of Financial Services, Allan Wan, Executive Director of IARFC Hong Kong and Macau Centre, Dean Adrian Cheung and Associate Dean Eva Khong of CityU Faculty of Finance attended the meeting.
Dean Cheung welcomed Chairman Vong, General Secretary Kun and Mr Wan and thanked them for working together to complete the training program held for 28 trainees. The meeting was held to discuss issues including the scope of teaching, evaluation of teachers, attendance rates of students, assignments and teaching achievements of the 2020 program to assure the quality of teaching and program. All four teachers received high scores on evaluation, showing that students were highly satisfactory with teaching and efforts would be made to assure teaching quality in the future. It was agreed that a “Graduation and Certificate Award Ceremony for the Professional Certificate in Financial Consulting (Executive Program)” be held in March 2021. It was also agreed that 2021 “Professional Certificate in Financial Consulting (Executive Program)” continue to be held in May and October 2021 to keep up our efforts to provide training opportunities for local financial talent, enhance professional knowledge and create greater paths of career development. Discussion was also held on providing training programs that catered for the development needs of Macao’s financial industry and assisting Macao in cultivating more financial professionals.
