To cultivate students’ literature retrieval ability, the Faculty of Finance and the Library of City University of Macau held an EndNote software training session at the Ho Yin Convention Centre on 14 April, with the participation of a group of undergraduate students of 2018 from the Faculty of Finance. Ms Vivian Chen, Reference Unit of the Library, City University of Macau, introduced the use of the EndNote X9 software to the students.
EndNote is an efficient bibliographic document management software. Ms Vivian Chen detailed the whole process of using EndNote for students to participate in and improve scientific research, which is mainly divided into four parts: document import, management, arrangement and submission. She also demonstrated the process from creating and managing of a personal EndNote library, to citation management in Word, and matching the most appropriate journal submission to give students a clearer picture of each step.
