In the summer school, 9 outstanding master’s and doctoral theses were selected as the presentation papers of the graduate forum, and the paper submitted by Peiyan Yin was selected to be shared at the conference and was well received. The paper presented by Yin Peiyan is a working paper titled "Long-term Effect of Exposure to Financial Crisis in Early Career" and co-authored with Professor Yonghong Zhou of Faculty of Finance, CityU. This paper examines the long-term effects of economic crises on individual wealth needs. Based on data from the seventh World Values Survey (WVS), empirical results show that individuals who experience financial crises in the early stages of their careers have a higher need for wealth later in life and are therefore relatively less satisfied with their financial situation.
