On 13th March, The Faculty of Finance has the great honour to invite Dr. Felix Pontes Chairman of the Executive Board, Macau Institute of Financial Services to organized a seminar on “Fintech – Challenges from Financial Technology”.  Dr. Pontes was warmly welcome by both teachers and students of Faculty of Finance.

  Dr. Pontes began by introducing the evolution of FinTech and technology involved in FinTech. Next, Next, he discussed the impact of InsurTech and its application, in addition, he introduced the new types of insurance. The initiatives taken by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, the Insurance Authority and Securities and Futures Commission and other actions implemented in Hong Kong to promoted FinTech and InsureTech were illustrated. Finally,  Dr. Pontes mentioned ways and means of pushing Macau’s FinTech Sector and the initiatives taken by the Macau Institute of Financial Services (IFS) to promote awareness of FinTech  in Macau.
