On November 17, 2025, the second joint economics workshop between the University of Macau and City University of Macau was successfully held at Department of Economics, the University of Macau. At the workshop, our faculty members Fangzhi Wang and Yu Bai presented their working papers titled "Climate Change and Climate Policy in the Era of Artificial Intelligence" and "Series Estimation of Cointegrated System with Time Varying Coefficients", respectively. Faculty member Yibai Yang and doctoral student Wei Song from the University of Macau reported on the paper "Should Subsidies Favor Automation or R&D when Technical Change is Capital-Embodied". Faculty members Yang Zu and Wei Li from the University of Macau reported the paper "Comparing Forecasts Made at Different Frequencies". The discussions during the conference were lively, promoting academic exchange in economics between the two universities. Attending from the University of Macau were also Department Head Angus C. Chu, Zaifu Yang, Jia Chen, Yubo Tao, Lawrence Choo, and other faculty members, along with graduate students. Our faculty participants included Yonghong Zhou, Weiping Li, Le Li, Junyi Hua, Lifei Xue, Xingxu Ma, Sheung-Chi Chow, Jingru Gao, and Xuezheng Chen.
