The national finals of the 16th "ICBC Cup" FinTech Innovation Competition for National College Student, hosted by the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), were recently held at the University of International Business and Economics. Representing Macau, three students from the City University of Macau (CityU), Chuanzhen Weng, Simo Li, and Miaoxin Deng, participated in the competition. Their project, "Qingkuibao"—A Dynamic Intelligent Risk Control-Based Financial Literacy Empowerment Platform for Adolescents, delivered an outstanding performance in the finals, earning high praise from the judges. Standing out among 13 teams from various provinces and regions across the country, they were awarded the first prize, showcasing the innovative strength of CityU students in the field of fintech.

Earlier, the winning team from CityU had already secured first prize in the "16th 'ICBC Cup' National College Student FinTech Innovation Competition—5th Macau College Student FinTech Innovation Competition." They were subsequently recommended by ICBC Macau to represent the Macau division in the national finals. The award-winning project is a dynamic intelligent risk control-based financial literacy empowerment platform for adolescents. It adopts a "parental supervision" account model and supports gamified financial education and simulated investment functions. The platform relies on a dynamic risk control engine to achieve a balance between intelligent supervision and appropriate autonomy, while also utilizing big data to deliver personalized content. The project constructs a closed-loop system of "wealth management, risk control, education, and parent-child interaction," empowering banks to enhance financial services for adolescents and simultaneously fulfilling the social responsibility of financial education.

This year's competition, themed "Igniting Intelligence with Innovation, Inspiring the Future with Youth," aimed to provide a platform for college students to engage in intellectual exchange, practical innovation, and showcase their talents. It attracted over 69,000 students nationwide, with more than 20,000 valid entries submitted, covering cutting-edge areas such as AI applications in finance and smart banking services.

Since its inception in 2010, the "ICBC Cup" National College Student FinTech Innovation Competition has been successfully held for 16 sessions, becoming a highly influential fintech competition for universities in China. The outstanding performance of the City University of Macau team on the national stage not only brought honor to Macau but also further promoted cross-regional academic and innovative exchanges.

We are thrilled to have won the first prize in the national "ICBC Cup" competition. This achievement would not have been possible without the dedicated guidance and selfless support from ICBC Macau, the Faculty of Finance at the City University of Macau, our advisor, Assistant Professor Dr. Cai Liu, and all the other teachers. We are deeply grateful to them. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to ICBC Head Office for providing such a professional platform for participants nationwide, where we had the opportunity to exchange ideas, learn from each other, and showcase our talents. Through this competition, we have not only deepened our understanding of fintech but also gained invaluable experiences and broader perspectives. Moving forward, we will carry this encouragement with us, continuing to advance steadily on our journey of financial exploration and striving to create more value with our knowledge. Once again, we sincerely thank everyone who has given us strength!
