On 6 November, the seminar on "Heated Topics for Graduate Theses" hosted by the Faculty of Finance of CityU was held at Ho Yin Convention Centre. Associate Dean Khong Yueng Wah and the faculty of the Faculty of Finance of CityU attended the seminar. Keynote speaker, Associate Professor Wang Yinggui from the Faculty of Finance, analysed and shared the heated financial topics at the moment.
Associate Professor Wang Yinggui has served as a senior lecturer at a number of renowned universities and a foreign exchange analyst at NetAllright Inc., Toronto, mainly engaged in the teaching and research of finance, including financial markets, risk management, monetary policy and world economy. He has published 2 monographs, and more than 30 academic papers in journals such as World Economics and Politics, Studies of International Finance, Asia-Pacific Economic Review and Journal of International Trade.
At the seminar, Associate Professor Wang Yinggui provided his unique analysis and insights on heated issues such as "monetary policy", "exchange rate policy", "financial institutions", "financial markets", "financial risk management", "practical application of finance", "regional financial cooperation" and "financial technology". The globalization of financial markets has brought not only positive impact on the world's economy, promoted global financial activities and facilitated economic growth, but also brought challenges.
