On 18 November, the Faculty of Finance of CityU held a workshop on "Efficient Team Building", and invited Licensed Consultant Ms Heyer Kwong Ka Ling, Karen, to chair the workshop. Students from the International Business Cohort of Faculty of Business and the Finance Elite Cohort of Faculty of Finance actively participated in the workshop. Executive Dean Adrian (Wai Kong) Cheung, Associate Dean Eva Khong Yueng Wah and Course Coordinator Priscilla Roberts from the Faculty of Business joined the workshop to interact with the students.
The workshop was held in Room L105 of L-Building with the professional trainer Ms Heyer Kwong Ka Ling from Hong Kong as the keynote speaker. Through presentation and featured activities, the workshop cultivated the students' team spirit, exerted their leadership ability, and established positive thinking. The event was also a chance for the mentor Ms Heyer Kwong Ka Ling to inspect the growth of second and third-year students from the International Business Cohort since the team building workshop held last year.
Ms Heyer Kwong Ka Ling first explained what a team is, and introduced the key points of team spirit through a series of group activities. Students were required to cooperate with each other in different groups to solve the issues posed by Ms Karen Kwong to comprehend the meaning of team spirit through practice. Ms Heyer Kwong Ka Ling also emphasized on the importance of two-way trust and effective communication in the team. Students took turns to act as the team leader to develop leadership skills and view things from different perspectives. In the discussion session, students actively expressed what they had learned and how much they had benefited from the workshop.
