From June 27th to 29th, 2020, the finals of the 3rd National Innovation Experience Competition For College Students, hosted by the China Creative Studies Institute, co-organized by Nanjing Jiangning Development Zone, and jointly organized by Southeast University and Anhui University of Technology, was held online. The participants of CityU won the first and second prizes.
This competition began in November 2019. A total of 687 works from 60 universities across the country were accepted. Due to the epidemic, the competition adopted an online review method and contestants conducted online defense. In the end, a total of 209 works were selected for the national finals. Under the guidance of Associate Professor Lou Shiyan, six students of Applied Economics Program, Faculty of Finance, participated in the competition, of which 3 students won the prizes, including Jiang Mingxuan who won the first prize on the theme of "Daily Change", Li Jiaman and Guo Lilin who won the second prize on the theme of "Daily Change" and "Innovative Value", respectively. Associate Professor Lou Shiyan won the Outstanding Instructor Award.
This National Innovation Experience Competition For College Students not only demonstrated the ability of CityU students to innovate and practice, but also fully reflected the achievements of City University in cultivating innovative and creative talents. CityU will continue to encourage students to participate in different types of competitions, broaden their international horizons and enhance their personal abilities, which will help them to devote themselves to all areas of society in the future.
