On September 23, the Faculty of Finance of the City University of Macau held the ”FINANCE ELITE TIME”-the first activity of the 2020/2021 academic year for the BAE Finance Elite Cohort students. Dean Adrian Cheung, Associate Dean Khong Yueng Wah, Course Coordinator of Graduate Programmes Dr. Wu Zefu, Course Coordinator of BAE Programme Dr, Lin Deqin, Associate Professor Dr. Lou Shiyan and 20 Elite Cohort students participated in the gathering. This get-together  consisted of three parts: self-introduction, refreshment time, and teacher-student group chat. Teachers and students were all enthusiastic about speaking during the process, frequent applause and laughter pushing the atmosphere to its climax.

     The “FINANCE ELITE TIME”series of activities are specially set up for Finance Elite Cohort students of the Faculty of Finance. In addition to the monthly gatherings and lectures, the faculty also assigns a mentor to each student and divide students into different groups according to their majors and personal interests. Group discussions are conducted in English throughout the whole process and the topics include not only professional studies, but also various life-oriented and interesting content, aiming to increase students’ learning interest, refresh their mind and improve their oral English in a relaxing and joyful atmosphere. Through this series of activities, every student will become enlightened on how to manage life and shape correct values under the guidance of a parent-like tutor. At the same time, the faculty will continue to organize different financial academic activities to enrich the lives of students inside and outside school.
