To deeply integrate with the teaching for Finance Elite Cohort of the Faculty of Finance and promote the communication between cohort students of all grades, the Faculty of Finance held “Finance Elite Time Cohort-Exploring China Provincial Identities: Culture and Business Environment” in the afternoon of 30 November 2020,. Students in the BAE Finance Elite Cohort of grades 19 and 20 and teachers gathered together to hold a speech sharing meeting in English. Dean Adrian Cheung ，Associate Dean Khong Yueng Wah，Course Coordinator of BAE Programme Lin Deqin and Elite Cohort students attended this activity together.

    Although the temperature in Macau has dropped in winter, the students were enormously enthusiastic. 42 students from the two grades were divided into eight groups by their hometown area and each group gave a thematic introduction to their hometown, including Guangdong, Hubei, Henan and Xinjiang, etc. They combined financial theory and knowledge to introduce the reality and future development of the local financial industry, ranging from the unique local cultural environment to the local business environment. In the speech, the students were full of enthusiasm, showing the features of their hometown with emotion and confidence to everyone while the audiences  all enjoyed the presentations. After that, Dean Adrian Cheung also gave some suggestions and imparted some knowledge to students based on their performance. This activity not only improved the students' public speech ability, but also deepened their mutual understanding and enhanced the cohesion of the group.

    The leaders of the faculty affirmed the self-improvement and vigor of the students, as well as the strong sense of identity for the spirit of City University of Macau. The students of the two grades broke barriers in cooperation, developed deeper relationship in communication, and grew up together with each other.

    "Finance Elite Time Cohort" series of activities are organized by the faculty of finance. These activities focus on the featured educational themes of Finance Elite Cohort and attach importance to various learning issues that students care about, where university leaders, academic teachers and students are invited to fully participate in the discussion, providing a good bridge for communication between teachers and students.
