On September 9th, 2021, the Finance Seminar Series [2] was held by the Faculty of Finance in the Ho Yin Convention Center, and the guest speaker was Mr. Liu Xiaofei, General Manager of the Treasury Department of Agricultural Bank of China Macao Branch. Guests attending this seminar include Dean Adrian Cheung and Associate Dean Khong Yueng Wah of the Faculty of Finance of the City University of Macau. The theme of the seminar is "Major Financial Business of Chinese Commercial Bank in Overseas Market".

Mr. Liu Xiaofei started his career in Agricultural, Bank of China in 1998, and he has worked for various departments in the headquarters of ABC including the International Finance department, the Financial Market department, and the Agricultural Bank of China Dubai Branch. 

At the seminar, in order to illustrate the major financial business of Chinese Commercial Bank in the overseas market, Mr. Liu introduced the world situation, the financial industry of Macao, the organization mode of overseas commercial banks, and the main functions and business of the overseas financial market, respectively. Moreover, Mr. Liu advised those students who were interested in working for the bank that it would be an advantage for people to identify their strengths before entering the financial industry. Despite sharing academic knowledge, Mr. Liu emphasized the importance of a sense of responsibility and the ability to work efficiently and effectively, as well as a professional image.

Later, students actively asked questions and exchanged views with Mr. Liu on topics including the measures for the liquidity risk management of Commercial Bank, and operational practice, which helped them better understand the relevant circumstances of the financial industry and the significance of its development.
