Academic Lecture | Faculty of Finance, CityU, "Non-mandatory Central Provident Fund System of Macao"

  On May 15, "China Life-Guangfa Lecture" was held at Ho Yin Convention Center. This event was sponsored by Macao Foundation and jointly organized by Faculty of Finance, CityU, China Life Insurance (Overseas) Co., Ltd. (CLIO) Macao Branch, and CGB Macao Branch. It invited Mr. Can Zifai, Senior Manager of Business Development Department, Macao Branch, CLIO to deliver the keynote speech on "Non-mandatory Central Provident Fund System of Macao".

                                                                 

  The guests present also included Mr. Paang Gaawai, Sales Director of Macao Branch, CLIO, Mr. Ho Dungban, the General Manager of Banking Department, Macao Branch, CGB, Mr. Jiu Sijyun, the General Manager of Business Development Department, Macao Branch, CLIO, and Mr. Lam Bougwo, Vice General Manager of Banking Department, Macao Branch, CGB. Ms. Khong Yueng Wah, Associate Dean of Faculty of Finance and students and teachers of CityU attended this lecture.

                                                                  

  Mr. Can Zifai mentioned that, Non-mandatory Central Provident Fund System of Macao came into effect on January 1, 2018, designated to strengthen endowment of residents. And employees are important "assets" of an enterprise. The enterprise is responsible for providing the former with stable retirement protection. Joining "Non-mandatory Central Provident Fund" not only benefits endowment of retired employees, but also retains experienced employees for a long time and enhances the sense of belonging of employees to the enterprise.

                                                                 

  Later, students on-site actively asked questions and exchanged views with Mr. Can Zifai on topics including the future development of "Non-mandatory Central Provident Fund".

  This event helped students learn relevant policies and governance of Macao SAR Government and further understand its future development plan.
