On February 3, 2026, invited by GF Fund Management Co., Ltd., Dean Adrian Cheung and Associate Dean Eva Khong, the Faculty of Finance of City University of Macau, and 40 Master students visited the Hengqin headquarters of GF Fund, and participated in the first session of GF Fund's "New Youth Investors · Five Cities and Ten Universities in the Greater Bay Area Dialogue on Investment" event.
Guided by GF Fund staff, the students toured the office areas of GF Fund's Hengqin headquarters, gaining an understanding of the organizational structure and daily operations of a fund company. Dr. Liang Jiaying, Head of the GF Fund Investor Education Base and an alumna of City University of Macau, extended a warm welcome to the visiting faculty and students. She mentioned that this series of events aims to cultivate correct investment concepts and risk awareness among young people, guiding them to walk with the times and integrate their pursuit of wealth and career planning into the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Dean Adrian Cheung expressed affirmation for the university-enterprise collaboration, hoping students would seize this opportunity to enrich their knowledge beyond textbooks and gain an in-depth understanding of financial practices.
Mr. An Luming, a lecturer from the GF Fund Investor Education Base, delivered a themed lecture titled "Methods of Fund Investment and Strategies for Risk Defense" for the students. He first introduced the concept of public offering funds and product classifications, then highlighted fund investment risks for the students, emphasizing the importance of risk assessment and ensuring appropriate matching between personal risk tolerance and product risk levels. Finally, addressing common investment pitfalls like "chasing rallies and selling off in downturns," he analyzed typical investor psychological biases and shared concepts of contrarian investing and fund fixed investment strategies.
Mr. Wang Zhichen, another lecturer from the GF Fund Investor Education Base, delivered a themed lecture titled "Financial Career Launch Guide - The Advancement Path from Campus to Workplace." He outlined career directions in the securities industry for the students, including buy-side institutions, sell-side institutions, and other financial sectors. He then introduced various functional positions within fund companies, guiding students to identify suitable career paths and target positions based on their personalities and professional skills. Lastly, he shared practical job-seeking skills focusing on resumes, interviews, and other key stages.
During the event, students actively engaged in discussions and interactions with the lecturers, exploring fund investment methods and personal career planning together. The event concluded with a group photo taken by GF Fund staff with all participating faculty and students, capturing a memorable moment.
This marks the second collaboration between City University of Macau and GF Fund on investor education activities. In the future, both parties will further explore cooperative opportunities to jointly broaden students' financial horizons and help them seize the opportunities presented by Guangdong-Macao financial development for personal growth.
