Faculty of Finance of CityU Held a Lecture on ‘ “Wolf Spirit” Team Building in Investment Banking’

    On the afternoon of 18 August 2020, a finance lecture sponsored by the Macau Foundation was hosted by the Faculty of Finance of City University of Macau, where Professor Wu Yunqiao, Associate Professor and Director of IMA Smart City Institute of SISU, made a speech titled ““Wolf Spirit” Team Building in Investment Banking”. The lecture was hosted by Dean Adrian Cheung of the Faculty of Finance, and a large number of students attended the lecture through the online platform.     

    Professor Wu Yunqiao is an Associate Professor and the Director of IMA Smart City Institute of SISU, a member of Shanghai Youth Federation, a Key Project Leader of Shanghai Government and Former General Manager of Department of investment Bank of Tianjing Securities Ltd. He published and participated in the compilation of many management books, covering areas including consulting, investment, finance and other industries.

    The lecture comprised four parts: 1. Cultivating wolf culture in investment banking teams. 2. Building strong leadership competencies. 3. Enhancing leader’s communication skills. 4. Developing team members’ capabilities. . The four aspects were discussed in terms of different questions and viewpoints through case analysis, as well as discussions based on Professor Wu’s own actual practical experience, so as to encourage students to think and discuss together online. The whole lecture was highly interactive in a warm atmosphere, which helped students to have a better understanding of the leadership construction and team execution of the investment bank business.
