The delegation from School of Digital Economics of Dongguan City University visited CityU to promote exchanges

A delegation from School of Digital Economy, Dongguan City University, led by their Executive Dean, Ruirui Hou, visited the City University of Macau (CityU) on June 15 and was warmly welcomed by Dean Adrian Cheung of Faculty of Finance. Both sides expressed their interest in personnel training, future cooperation and coordinated development.

 

Dean Adrian Cheung warmly welcomed the visit of Executive Dean Ruirui Hou and her delegation, and introduced the development process and achievements of CityU and Faculty of Finance from the aspects of the Faculty's scientific research achievements, laboratory construction, historical background and external cooperation. Executive Dean Hou then introduced the School of Digital Economy of Dongguan City University, and pointed out that its undergraduate graduates are eager to apply for master's programmes in Macau, and look forward to promoting exchanges and cooperation with CityU. The two sides look forward to further discussions and cooperation on mutual visits between teachers and students, talent cultivation and other aspects in the future, so as to jointly promote the development of financial talents.

 

The School of Digital Economy of Dongguan City University provides finance, insurance, international economy and trade, e-commerce, internet finance, investment and digital economy programmes, with more than 2,000 students and 131 full-time teachers. School of Digital Economy has established off-campus practice and training bases with more than 30 enterprises such as Ping An of China, Alibaba International Station, Dongguan Securities, China Merchants Securities, providing favorable conditions for students to practice and find employment.

 

Lastly, the two sides concluded the visit by exchanging souvenirs. Guests who attended the discussion include Hehe Liu, Deputy Secretary of the General Party Branch, Director Feiyu Liu and Professor Jiayi Wang of School of Digital Economy of Dongguan City University, as well as Associate Professor Eva Khong, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Finance, Professor Yonghong Zhou, Course Coordinator of Graduate Programme and Assistant Professor Derick Lin, Course Coordinator of BAE Programme, Faculty of Finance of CityU.
