On 5th February 2026, a delegation from School of Economics, Fudan University visited Faculty of Finance at City University of Macau (CityU). A cooperation exchange meeting was held at the Golden Dragon Campus of the City University of Macau. Attendees included Professor Zhao Chen, Associate Dean of School of Economics, Fudan University, Ms. Yan Chen, Director of Education Development Center, Professor Adrian Cheung, Dean of the Faculty of Finance; Professor Yonghong Zhou, Director of PhD Programme; Associate Professor Ting Yang, Director of Master's Programmes and Dr. Jin Fu, Adjunct Professor at City University of Macau.
Dean Adrian Cheung extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation. Professor Yonghong Zhou began by introducing the development status of the CityU Faculty of Finance, highlighting achievements in recent years across various aspects such as faculty structure, student size, discipline development, academic research outcomes, international accreditations, and student cultivation. The Faculty actively promotes academic exchanges, maintains close cooperation with multiple universities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and is dedicated to cultivating modern financial talents. Subsequently, Director Yan Chen provided a detailed overview of the Fudan University School of Economics' historical foundation, extensive alumni network, educational training, and rich experience and resources in international programs. The Education Development Center has established a comprehensive educational system spanning from high school student research projects and university summer programs to advanced training for entrepreneurs and customized corporate courses. It possesses mature models for bridging academia and the market, promoting the transformation of research outputs, and has established in-depth cooperation with numerous domestic and international enterprises and institutions. Both parties agreed that collaboration between the two faculties could effectively promote the sharing of higher education resources and complementary advantages between the Mainland and Macao, holding broad prospects, especially within the context of the integrated development of the Greater Bay Area.
The two parties engaged in constructive discussions regarding the direction of future cooperation, preliminarily exploring collaboration in multiple areas such as joint student cultivation and exchanges, resource sharing and academic interaction, and market development and project alignment. This meeting not only deepened mutual understanding but also laid a solid foundation for establishing a long-term cooperative relationship in the future, marking a significant step for both institutions in promoting cross-border educational collaboration.
