Remarks:
- For students who have added Year 1 courses due to a major change, if the examination schedules for major courses and elective courses conflict, you may freely choose which conflicting examination(s) to defer.
- The Deferred Examination Application Form must be submitted to the Faculty/Department offering the deferred course (submit General Education courses to the General Education Department; submit courses for your primary major to the Faculty of Finance; submit cross-programme electives to the respective offering Faculty/Department).
- If the deferral is due to an examination schedule conflict (e.g., retaking a failed course, adding courses due to a programme transfer, conflict between a cross-programme elective and a major course, or conflict between other electives and major courses), the deferred examination grade will be calculated normally (i.e., A, B, C, D, etc.). Students applying for deferral for these reasons will also be exempt from the application fee.
- If the examination conflicts with National Games voluntary service, the Faculty will process the deferral on your behalf, you do not need to submit a personal application. The exam will be rescheduled within the standard deferred examination period, and the grade will be calculated normally.
- For deferred examinations approved for other reasons, the final grade for the course will be recorded only as "D" (Pass) or "F" (Fail).
- Students under special circumstances must submit an application, which will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis for special approval.
